Webflow

Your AI agent runs on a Webflow site as a small script that Ultimo Bots installs for you through Webflow's own custom code system. There is no snippet to paste and no custom code panel to edit: you connect your Webflow account, choose one of your sites, and activate.

Two ways to connect

Both paths end in the same place: an Ultimo Bots account that is connected to Webflow, with your agent live on the site you picked.

From the Webflow App Market

  1. Install the app

Open the Ultimo Bots listing in the Webflow App Market and click Install App. Webflow asks you to approve the permissions the app needs.

  2. Create your account

After you approve, you land in the Ultimo Bots onboarding. Create your account there, or sign in if you already have one. The account is connected to Webflow from this moment on.

  3. Pick a site

The site picker lists the sites you authorized. Choose the one your agent should answer on. Your agent is then built from the knowledge you provide.

  4. Style it, and it goes live

Choose colours, position and the welcome message. While you do, Ultimo Bots registers the agent script on the site you picked and publishes it, so there is no separate Activate step during setup. When you finish, your agent is already live for visitors and you land in the dashboard.

From the Ultimo Bots dashboard

If you already have an Ultimo Bots account, you can connect Webflow from inside the dashboard instead.

  1. Open the Webflow channel

Open your agent, go to DeployChannels and click Set up on the Webflow card.

  2. Connect your Webflow account

Click Connect and approve the permissions in Webflow. You come back to the dashboard with your sites available.

  3. Activate the site

Pick the site and click Activate. If your account has several Webflow sites, activate each one separately.

What your agent learns from

Accounts connected to Webflow do not train from website addresses. Instead you give your agent knowledge directly, which also gives you exact control over what it can and cannot see:

  • Files such as PDFs, Word documents, spreadsheets, presentations and plain text
  • Text you add directly, for policies, opening hours and anything else you want worded your way
  • Questions and answers for the replies that must be exact
  • Google Drive, OneDrive and Notion, connected once and then kept in sync through those services' own APIs
Why the Website Links section is not there. Once your account is connected to Webflow, training from website addresses is switched off and the Website Links area is hidden. This follows the Webflow Marketplace rules for apps. Every other knowledge source works exactly as it does on other platforms. See Documents and Questions and answers.

Plan requirements

Installing the app and running one agent on your Webflow site works on every plan, including the free trial. Your plan decides how many agents you can run, how many replies they can give per month, and how many knowledge sources each agent can hold. Billing runs through Ultimo Bots, not through Webflow. See Plans and billing.

Updates to the agent script

The script on your site is version-locked and integrity-checked, so what runs on your site is exactly what was published. When we ship a new version, we prepare it on your site and it takes effect the next time you publish in Webflow. You never need to paste or replace anything by hand.

Deactivate or remove

  1. Take the agent off one site

Open DeployChannels Webflow and click Deactivate for that site. Ultimo Bots removes its script and republishes the site, so the agent disappears for visitors. Custom code you added yourself, and code from other apps, is never touched.

  2. Disconnect the Webflow account

Click Remove Webflow to disconnect the account entirely. This revokes our access to your Webflow sites.

Deactivate before disconnecting. Disconnecting only removes our access; it does not take an installed agent off a site. If you disconnect first, we can no longer remove the script for you. Deactivate every site first, then disconnect.
