Plans & billing
Every Ultimo Bots plan sets how many AI responses your agent can send each month and which features it can use. This page explains how plans work, what happens when you reach a limit, and how to upgrade, change, or cancel a subscription.
Billing is organised per agent. Each agent you create has its own plan and its own subscription, so an account with several agents can have several subscriptions side by side. You manage them all from the Billing screen in the dashboard, where each agent appears as a card showing its plan, status, and billing provider.

How plans work
There are four tiers: Free, Smart, Boost, and Ultimo. The main thing a plan controls is your monthly AI response limit, which is the number of replies your agent can send to visitors in a billing month. Higher plans also raise other limits and unlock features:
- Monthly AI responses. Every answer your agent gives counts toward this cap. It resets at the start of each billing period.
- Knowledge sources. The combined number of website links, documents, FAQs, and connected sources (Google Drive, OneDrive, Notion) your agent can learn from.
- Custom behaviors. The number of natural-language guidelines you can add to shape how your agent responds.
- Automatic rescraping. Whether your website sources are re-read on a schedule so the agent stays current. This is available on Boost (monthly) and Ultimo (daily). Smart does not include automatic rescraping.
- Remove "Powered by" branding. Whether you can hide the Ultimo Bots label on the chat widget.
Compare the tiers
This table compares the paid tiers by what they include. The exact numbers shown when you upgrade are the source of truth, so check the dashboard before you decide. AI response limits are large enough that most small sites stay well within them.

Live-chat handover, automatic lead capture, live event notifications, and the social and cloud-storage connectors are available across the paid plans. The knowledge-source and custom-behavior allowances increase as you move up the tiers, with the exact counts shown on the upgrade screen.
When you reach your limit
Plans are a flat monthly or yearly price with a fixed allowance. The base plan is not metered, so you are never charged automatically for going over. Instead, paid agents can keep going by moving up a plan or by buying one-time extra-message packs (see below).
- Approaching the cap. As your agent gets close to its monthly AI response limit, Ultimo Bots emails you so you are not caught by surprise.
- Reaching the cap. Once the limit is hit, an upgrade prompt appears showing your current usage against the limit and recommends the next plan up. Unless you upgrade or add an extra-message pack, your agent pauses new AI responses for the rest of the period. The count resets at the start of the next billing period.
- Other limits. If you try to add more knowledge sources or custom behaviors than your plan allows, or turn on a feature that needs a higher tier (such as removing branding or daily rescraping), an upgrade prompt explains which plan unlocks it.
Need more responses: extra-message packs
If a paid agent needs more AI responses than its plan allows, you can buy a one-time extra-message pack instead of moving up a tier. Packs come in three sizes (Small, Medium, and Large), and the amounts and prices are shown in the dashboard when you buy. Credits from a pack stack on top of your monthly plan allowance, and they are spent only after the plan allowance for the month is used up.
- Paid agents only. Extra-message packs are available on any paid plan. Free agents cannot buy them.
- Always paid through Stripe. Pack purchases run through Stripe even for Wix-billed agents, so your base plan and your top-ups can sit on different rails.
- Valid about 12 months and they roll over. Purchased credits do not expire at the monthly reset. Unused credits carry across months until you spend them or they reach their expiry, which is about a year from purchase.
- Optional automatic top-up. You can turn on automatic top-up per agent. When remaining messages drop to a threshold you set, Ultimo Bots buys one pack on your saved card so the agent keeps answering. You add the card once, and you can turn this off at any time.
How to upgrade
How you upgrade depends on how the agent was installed. Ultimo Bots routes you to the right place automatically when you start a plan from the agent's billing screen or follow an upgrade prompt. The button you see matches your situation, so the steps below describe each one.
Installed from the Wix App Market
If your agent came from Wix, billing is handled by Wix. The agent's billing screen shows a Manage in Wix button that sends you to the Wix upgrade page for the Ultimo Bots app, where you pick and pay for your plan through your Wix account. (If that page is not available, you land in the plans area of your Wix site dashboard instead.) Your plan and status then sync back into the Ultimo Bots dashboard for display.
Signed up directly or through another platform
For accounts that did not come through Wix, payments run through Stripe. On a Free agent, use Choose plan to open an in-app checkout where you pick a plan and billing cycle and pay securely through Stripe. There is no separate account to create.
Already on a paid Stripe plan
If you are already paying through Stripe and want to move to a different plan, use Choose plan to switch tiers, or the monthly/yearly toggle (shown as Switch to Yearly or Switch to Monthly) to change your billing cycle. To update your card or review your subscription, the Stripe billing portal opens from the same screen.
Manage or cancel a subscription
You can change or cancel a subscription at any time from the agent's billing card. As with upgrades, the destination depends on the billing provider:
- Stripe-billed agents. Use Cancel plan to stop a Stripe subscription. A cancelled plan normally stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, then stops renewing. If you change your mind before it lapses, a Reactivate plan button lets you keep it. You can also switch plans or update your payment method through the Stripe billing portal.
- Wix-billed agents. Cancelling and plan changes happen in your Wix account. The Manage in Wix button sends you to the Wix upgrade page for the Ultimo Bots app to manage the subscription there. (If that page is not available, you land in the plans area of your Wix site dashboard instead.)
Where to find invoices
Ultimo Bots does not keep a separate invoice list inside the dashboard. Your invoices and receipts live with whichever provider bills you:
- Stripe-billed agents. Open the Stripe billing portal from the agent's billing screen to see your full payment history, download invoices, and update billing details.
- Wix-billed agents. Invoices and receipts appear in your Wix account billing area, alongside your other Wix purchases.
