Import from Google Drive and OneDrive

Data Connections lets you link your Google Drive and OneDrive accounts to import documents directly into your bot's Knowledge Base. Skip the manual download-and-upload step and keep your bot's knowledge fresh.

Available connections

Google Drive

Connect your Google account via OAuth and use the built-in file picker to select documents. Supported formats include PDF, DOCX, DOC, TXT, and CSV. You can select multiple files at once.

OneDrive

Connect your Microsoft account via OAuth and browse your OneDrive folders. Supported formats include PDF, DOCX, DOC, TXT, CSV, and MD. Navigate folders and select files from the built-in browser.

One-click import

After selecting files from either service, Ultimo imports and processes them into your Knowledge Base automatically. No manual uploading or downloading needed.

Manage connections

View all active data connections in one place. You can see which accounts are linked, what data has been imported, and disconnect a service at any time.

Automatic rescraping

When your cloud documents change, you can trigger a rescrape to update the Knowledge Base with the latest content from your connected drives.

Beta feature

Data Connections is currently in beta. You will see a beta badge on the connection cards. We are actively improving the experience based on user feedback.

Connect Google Drive

  1. Navigate to the Data Connections section from your bot settings or the Connect menu.

  2. Click the Google Drive card and authorize Ultimo to access your Google account via OAuth.

  3. The Google Drive file picker opens. Browse or search for files you want to import.

  4. Select one or more files (PDF, DOCX, DOC, TXT, CSV) and confirm your selection.

  5. Ultimo imports the selected files into your Knowledge Base. You will see them appear in the Documents tab.

Connect OneDrive

  1. Navigate to the Data Connections section from your bot settings or the Connect menu.

  2. Click the OneDrive card and authorize Ultimo to access your Microsoft account via OAuth.

  3. The OneDrive browser opens showing your folder structure. Navigate to the files you need.

  4. Select one or more files (PDF, DOCX, DOC, TXT, CSV, MD) and confirm.

  5. Ultimo imports the selected files into your Knowledge Base. Processing begins immediately.

Best practices

  • Keep your cloud documents organized in dedicated folders so they are easy to find during import.
  • After updating a document in Google Drive or OneDrive, trigger a rescrape to keep your bot's knowledge current.
  • You can connect multiple Google Drive and OneDrive accounts if you need documents from different sources.
  • Check the Knowledge Base Documents tab after import to confirm all files were processed successfully.
  • Disconnect a service at any time from the Manage Connections view. This does not delete already-imported knowledge.
