Turn chats into warm leads
Ultimo offers two ways to capture leads: the Warm Lead function collects contact details during conversations, and the Enforce Contact Details feature requires visitors to fill out a form before chatting.
Warm Lead configuration
Easily toggle the feature
Flip the Warm Lead switch to let your bot collect contact info whenever a chat becomes sales-ready. Turn it off any time -- settings persist.
Choose who gets notified
Add one or multiple email addresses. Each new submission sends a branded notification plus the full transcript for context.
Decide which fields matter
Collect email, phone, name, and custom fields with simple checkboxes. You control exactly what the form asks for.
Custom field management
Create, edit, and delete custom lead parameters. Each field has a name, description, and display label that the bot uses when asking visitors for information.
Spam-safe messaging
A reminder banner nudges you to whitelist build@ultimo-bots.com so lead alerts never land in spam.

Enforce Contact Details (pre-chat form)
Guarantee lead capture by requiring a form before the conversation starts.
Enforce Contact Details
Turn on the pre-chat form to require visitors to fill out their contact information before they can start chatting. This guarantees you capture every lead.
Select enforced fields
Choose which fields are required in the pre-chat form. You can enforce email, phone, name, or any custom fields you have created.
Pre-chat form in the widget
When enabled, the widget displays a form overlay before the chat begins. Visitors must complete it to proceed, and the data is saved as a lead automatically.
Quick start checklist
Open Settings > Lead Generation and review the info panel to understand what gets collected.
Toggle Activate Lead Function to start capturing warm leads during conversations.
Add one or more notification recipients. Remove emails with a single click if they no longer need updates.
Tick the checkboxes for the fields you want to request. Most teams start with Email + Name.
To enforce contact details before chat, enable the Enforce Contact Details toggle and select which fields are required.
Save your changes. Unsaved edits are clearly labeled so nothing gets lost.

- Use the warm lead function for high-intent chats. Pair it with targeted behavior prompts.
- Enable Enforce Contact Details if you need guaranteed lead capture from every visitor.
- If you manage large teams, create a distribution list email instead of entering multiple addresses.
- Run a test conversation right after enabling leads to ensure alerts land in the correct inbox.
- Create custom fields for industry-specific data points like company size or budget range.
- Update your privacy policy to mention chatbot lead capture for compliance.
