Tell your bot about your business
The Business Context tab lets you provide key information about your company, audience, and products. This context is injected into every conversation, helping your bot give more relevant and accurate answers.
What you can configure
Auto-generated context
When you first open the Business Context tab, Ultimo generates a summary from your Knowledge Base content. This gives your bot a head start without any manual input.
Manual editing
Fine-tune the generated context or write your own from scratch. You have up to 1,000 characters to describe your business, and changes save instantly.
Company information
Include your company name, industry, and a brief description. This helps the bot frame answers in the right context when visitors ask general questions.
Target audience
Describe who your customers are. This helps the bot adjust its tone and the level of detail in responses to match your typical visitor.
Key products and services
List your main offerings and unique selling points. The bot uses this to highlight relevant products and accurately describe what you do.
Contact information
Add phone numbers, emails, or addresses so the bot can share contact details when visitors ask how to reach you.
How to set it up
Open Settings for your bot and navigate to the Business Context tab (the fifth tab).
Review the auto-generated context that Ultimo created from your Knowledge Base. It provides a solid starting point.
Edit the text to add or correct details. You can describe your company, target audience, key products, and contact info.
Keep it under 1,000 characters. Focus on the most important facts that your bot should always know.
Click Save to apply your changes. The updated context is immediately used in all future bot responses.
If you want to start over, click Discard to revert to the last saved version.
Best practices
- Update the Business Context whenever you launch a new product or change your target audience.
- Keep descriptions concise and factual. The bot works best with clear, straightforward information.
- Include your unique selling points so the bot can differentiate you from competitors when asked.
- If you serve multiple markets, mention the key regions or languages your business supports.
- Review the auto-generated context carefully. It is a good starting point but may miss nuances that only you know.
